A brand new temporary mode has just been added to Fortnite Battle Royale with the latest V6.30 update patch, Food Fight, in which players are to defend a storage structure for their giant-sized tomato/burger, using yet another brand new combat item: the Mounted Turret.

New Event Mode: Food Fight

A limited-time mode, Food Fight is much more tower-defense oriented than Disco Domination, with mega structures to defend using a tactical, defensive layout involving turrets. Players are split into 2 teams, #TeamBurger and #TeamPizza, each wearing their own food mask and defending their own food (Burger or Tomato). A first phase consists in building a fortified base until the automated barrier is lifted, signalling the start of battle.

New Weapon: Mounted Turret

In order to increase their defensive might, players can strap into the new Mounted Turrets and keep their enemies at bay. Players won’t be able to unleash all of their rage without paying attention to the Mounted Turrets’ temperature though, which will eventually overheat and leave players clenching their teeth until the machine has cooled down.
