Mutant Factions is a free-to-play multiplayer online shooter with top-down view. The gameplay is unique because you don’t play as a man, but as a mutant. Killing enemies lets you mutate and unlock crazy skills, making for intense and tactical combat! Imagine if GTA2 was remade into a modern multi-player shooter. Imagine all the crazy vehicles and weapons but with modern netcode and game modes such as Team Deathmatch or Capture the Flag. Now add to this a strategic skill system similar to Diablo 2, with over 30 skills that you can unlock as you kill enemies and gain experience.
Game Features
Skills System : Explore countless skill builds, combos and counters as you level up and develop your mutant. Any experience you earn is permanently saved to your account. Combat is balanced by giving all skills a benefit and a penalty, allowing new players to compete with veterans by exploiting their weaknesses.
Cars and Guns : Choose from over 30 uniquely balanced weapons and vehicles. Shoot out tires, detonate car bombs, do drive-by shootings or simply run players over. Strategically save or spend your in-game cash to ensure that you always have the right equipment for the job.
Ranked server : Compete against others in ranked servers. Like the ELO rating system used in chess, your rank will move up and down based on how you score against your opponents. Advanced lag compensation techniques are used to ensure that your rank is a measure of your skill – not your ping.
Unique Game Modes : Play in a number of unique PvP and PvE game modes. All the classics are there such as Free For All, Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag. You can also race vehicles and set up roadblocks in the Checkpoint game mode, or cooperatively survive against waves of zombies in Outbreak.
Cosmetic Unlocks : Make maps, host servers and refer friends to earn community credits. Use these to unlock sexy cosmetics such as capes, lightsabers and vehicle decals. Players are rewarded for their support and as a result there are countless community made maps to play.
