Blizzard’s F2P digital card game, Hearthstone, will be running a major eSports event this Thursday, Feb. 28, the HCT Winter Championship, at Blizzard Arena Los Angeles, where 16 of the world’s best Hearthstone players (representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, China, and Europe) will battle it out to earn a share of the $250,000 USD prize pool and spots to compete at the HCT World Championship this April.

About the HCT Winter Championship 2019
Over the last weeks, the best Hearthstone players from North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and China have emerged from regional playoffs to claim their right to participate in the HCT Winter Championship. The four qualified players from each region will compete for the title of HCT Winter Champion, a share of the $250,000 prize pool (the last player gets $7,500), and a significant portion of the 251 Hearthstone Competitive Points (CP). Choose a Champion and Earn Freebies
There is still time for Hearthstone gamers to once again choose a champion and earn card packs during the HCT Winter Championship. Participants will receive one Rastakhan’s Rumble card pack just for choosing a champion, and one additional pack each time their champion advances – to the quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals.
