Digital Extremes, who made Warframe (possibly the best F2P adventure shooter game), have announced Soulframe, a very promising free-to-play MMO ARPG in early development. The announcement was made at TennoCon 2022 with a teaser showing extremely polished graphics in a dark medieval fantasy setting.

“With Soulframe’s worldbuilding and thematic elements, we are really looking to go back to our childhood favorites like Never Ending Story and those elaborate fantasy worlds,” said Soulframe Creative Director Geoff Crookes. “Our team has a fond love for Miyazki and Princess Mononoke where there are recurring concepts of nature and humanity colliding and we’ll be exploring a lot of those themes through our own lens while playing with ideas of restoration and exploration.”

How to register/solve the puzzle

Fans can visit the Soulframe website at www.soulframe.com where they will find a cryptic interactive puzzle to solve before being allowed to register their email for updates and given an opportunity to reserve their in-game name by declaring their Envoy. The puzzle (finding the translation of “ODE SKY”) must be solved using the cryptic letters provided for the translation of “ENVOYS OF” (2 missing letters D and K must be guessed).
