Kongregate today revealed Bitverse, a collection of F2P Web3 blockchain games set in a nostalgic 8-bit universe, allowing players to own and play the same NFT assets (e.g. characters, weapons, and abilities) in multiple games including a dungeon crawler, a card battler and a battle royale.

Bitverse Road Map

Bitverse will initially launch with Bit Heroes RPG (already live), followed by Bit Heroes Arena (Battle Royale), Bit Heroes Runner and Bit Heroes CCG (card game) but will continue to expand over time, incorporating more first party games as well as community funded and driven third party games.

About Bitverse

Games in Bitverse will support cross-play between mobile (iOS/Android) and PC (Windows/browser). Bitverse will integrate blockchain crypto technology (ERC20) and feature a unique combination of fungible and non-fungible tokens (ERC721-supported NFTs) for players to collect and earn through Play-and-Earn mechanics. Games are expected to be free to play (F2P) but it is not known yet whether play to earn mechanics will be F2P friendly.
