On May 9th 2017, all EVE Online’s 14 suns got a glorious redesign with update YC 119.5, giving them breathtaking visuals and surrounding audio and visual environments. The sun now emits bright light which hits objects near them that decrease in saturation and brightness the further away you get.

Update YC 119.5 also brought high-end PvE to EVE with the addition of Blood Raider Shipyards. This provides a unique opportunity for capsuleers from across the cluster to assault Blood Raider manufacturing facilities and military staging points, looting blueprints that will allow the construction of formidable Blood Raider capital vessels.

These shipyards are well defended, and should they come under attack, backup forces will come in droves, harnessing a new A.I. very similar to player themselves, including advanced fleet tactics (Tactical Warps, Logistics, Electronic Warfare Support) with powerful ships, including Dreadnoughts.

These new features come only a few days after EVE Online’s 14th Anniversary Celebration, on which day all capsuleers were gifted a YC119 Capsuleer Day Capsule SKIN, a festival launcher and loads of fireworks, redeemable until May 23rd.
