Free to play multiplayer tactical shooter Caliber by 1C Game Studios will officially launch on Steam PC (Windows) worldwide on April 12th 2023. While the game has been in open beta in Europe for some time, this move will provide regional servers and localization to an expanding global player base.
Caliber is a free-to-play team-based third-person shooter (TPS) for PC (Windows) by 1C Game Studios about real special forces. There are 17 playable real-world special force units across 12 countries, including USA, UK, Israel, Germany and France. Caliber features PvP and PvE modes, 68 playable operators, each with a unique set of class-based skill sets, weapons and special abilities:
Assault: The fastest unit, capable of flanking the enemy to get behind their lines.
Marksman: Provides cover and eliminates targets at long range.
Medic: Heals and revives allies and is effective in combat at close and medium range.
Support: Heavily armed operator with lots of HP and armor. The Support’s main goal is to divert the enemy’s attention and disrupt their attacks.
Caliber was launched into open beta during late 2019, and has been constantly evolving from player feedback since then.
Steam wishlists for Caliber are now open, with the publisher confirming language support in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
