Mediatonic announced that their popular party game Fall Guys will transition to free-to-play on June 21, 2022, with the introduction of the game on Nintendo Switch, Xbox and the Epic Games Store (Steam version to be partially removed).

Cross-Platform F2P

Starting June 21, everyone will be able to play Fall Guys for free on all platforms: PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and Windows PC, with cross-play, cross-platform parties and cross-progression fully supported with the use of an Epic Games Account.

Steam-to-Epic Games Transition

New players will no longer be able to get Fall Guys on Steam. Once the game goes free-to-play on Epic Games on June 21, 2022, the game will not be offered on Steam anymore, but will remain playable there for all who owned a copy prior to the F2P transition.
As a way to compensate those who bought or will buy the game prior to it becoming free on June 21, the publisher is awarding them a new Legacy Pack, containing a nickname, nameplate, the Regal costume, the Veggie Dog costume, the Feisty Dwarf costume – and a Season Pass for Season 1.

Fall Guys F2P Model

*Fall Guys’ microtransactions are implemented exclusively for cosmetics: all optional purchases are used to change one’s appearance only and don’t give any competitive advantage (clothes or full costumes, character color and design patterns, as well as emotes). The seasonal battle pass, which only contains cosmetic items, will be a “supercharged version” with a price tag, but a free progression path will remain in place.
