F2P games publisher Gamigo has entered into an agreement with developer Dynamight Studios for the publication of Fractured, a “truly dynamic” sandbox, isometric open-world MMORPG. The game is now teased on Gamigo’s social media accounts which hint at an imminent release of some sort.

Gamigo’s twitter account has changed its profile banner and links to that of Fractured, and late tweets hint at a major event planned for today. Could it be a major announcement, a Gamigo play test or an early release of the game? Will it be free to play or paid? Stay tuned to their twitter (https://twitter.com/gamigo) to find out.

Could Fractured be F2P?

Everything would seem to point in that direction given that Gamigo deals exclusively in F2P games (Rift, Trove, Aura Kingdom, and more, especially in Europe).
But looking at the Website or Steam page, there is no mention of F2P, so the question remains. That could be because the previous publishing scheme (paid early access + optional membership) has not been updated yet, or because Gamigo plans on releasing the game paid first.
In any case, we know that microtransactions are supposed to play a big part in the monetisation scheme, in the form of cosmetics and non P2W boosts, so an F2P release will most likely occur at some point.

About Fractured

Fractured Online features three races: Humans, Wildfolk, and Demons. Each race has a different impact on game mechanics, such as which type of society players can live in, to the ways they interact with other players. Once a race is chosen, players can begin their quest for knowledge.
