The SpellForce-Franchise gets two new additions on November 3rd, one of which is the all new SpellForce 3: Versus, a Free-to-play version of SpellForce 3 allowing players to participate in the newly introduced ranked multiplayer as well as play in a skirmish against AI opponents.
SpellForce 3’s Free Features
The upcoming version will give players free access to the 1v1 RTS battlefields of Eo, against AI opponents in Skirmish battles or against other human players in both Ranked and Unranked PVP matches. In SpellForce 3: Versus, you will be able to play either Humans, Orcs and Elves (3 out of 6 existing factions), but not any of them as your faction will be randomly chosen for you when you start the game for the first time.
A single-player scenario titled ‘Old Haalâyash’ will also be made available for free as a way to promote the paid single-player version.
SpellForce 3’s Free-to-play Model
SpellForce 3: Versus will have NO microtransactions, NO advertisement or any other form of Free-to-play mechanic. Players will be able to play SpellForce 3 – Versus absolutely free of charge, but will have to purchase access to the full, unobstructed PVP experience, which allows you to change faction with access to all 6 factions (Orcs, Humans, Elves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Trolls).
Players may also find the incentive topurchase singleplayer campaigns from SpellForce 3, SpellForce 3: Soul Harvest or SpellForce 3: Fallen God.
