Fortnite Battle Royale has just entered its 7th Season with a significant amount of new features and content, including new frosty locations and gameplay, a new flying vehicle: the Stormwing, a full sandbox island mode, and Wraps to customize the look of weapons, vehicles and more…
Brand New Winter Map
Fortnite’s Season 7 starts with the untold story of an iceberg colliding with the island, bringing many structural and gameplay changes to the map. The iceberg is home to a new biome containing many new POIs and icy, slippery areas that makes it much harder to move and pick up weapons, making it a fun, yet unsafe zone. The map sees the introduction of Ziplines which are found hanging across many areas to provide a new way to travel to and from high terrain. Add to that tons of new areas to discover and investigate, such as Polar Peak, Happy Hamlet, or the Frosty Flights location and Expedition outposts, where the new Stormwing planes are to be found.
New Creative Mode
Epic have released a full sandbox mode, letting players create their own battle island as they “Imagine, Build, and Battle like never before”. Battle Pass owners will have early access to their own Creative island for one week starting today, and all players will receive islands on December 13, 2018.
New X-4 Stormwing Plane
A brand new type of vehicle has been added to Fortnite: aircrafts! You can now fly using a 5-seater plane (1 pilot and 4 passengers on the wings), execute barrel rolls, and control the skies with the X-4 Stormwing aircraft. A very cool and effective means of tower destruction, the fighter aircraft is fitted with deadly machine guns.
New Customization with Wraps
Players can now give their weapons and vehicles a new look with Wraps as they Level up their Battle Pass to unlock different skins for such items as vehicles, shotguns, rifles and more.
Season 7 will be extended by two weeks and end on February 28.
